king bladud’s pigs in bath

in summer 2008 one hundred individually decorated life-size pig sculptures were displayed throughout the summer all around bath - to celebrate the legend of king bladud who together with his pigs discovered the hot springs of bath.

i decorated two pigs for the  project:

abi, sponsored by bath abbey; i worked with their young people on this popular pig: and

ziggy piggy, sponsored by buro happold.

In october the pigs were sold via a grand auction in aid of Sustrans' two tunnels project (see www.twotunnels.org.uk).
